Valorem Comércio de Madeiras e Assessoria Florestal Ltda (Valorem Wood Commerce and Forrest
Services Inc.) was
founded in 1980 with its headquarters in Curitiba-PR. On September 1st, 1999, the
company established the Valorem Indústria in Itararé-SP in order to get a place
in the improvement and industrialization of wood market. The constant pursuit of
an up-to-date technology guarantees the high quality of our products, meeting international
market requirements. In
order to ensure the quality of our products from the beginning, Valorem mainatains
more than 17,000 hectares of its own reforestation areas, containing millions of
trees in different stages of growth, therefore assuring its self-sufficiency in wood
supplies.
The
Valorem group is formed by three companies located in their own contiguous areas
which altogether supply wood for the entire production chain, besides wood processing,
industrialization, and exportation.
Which are: Valorem, Transvalorem and Chep Paraná.
Valorem develops
its activities in the production segment due to its own tree farms, its prodution
is completely computerized, managed and monitored with state of the art equipment,
with lumber production available in 13 cities -- among them, Sengés-PR, Dr.Ulisses-PR,
Adrianópolis-PR, Cerro Azul-PR, Tunas do Paraná-PR, Rio Branco do Sul-PR, Curitiba-PR,
S. Francisco do Sul-SC, Brusque-SC, Itajaí-SC and Bom Retiro-SC -- and others with
more than 17,000 hectares. Due to this, the company supplies to São Paulo, the Southeastern
region of Paraná and North of Santa Catarina with forestry supplies.
Valorem
relies on an industrial complex in Itararé-SP which is divided into 2 areas with
a total area of 92,931.82m2: with the planking sector containing 28,246.76m2, and
3,080.72m2 of built area, and the processing sector containing 64,685.06m2, with
12,471.73m2 of built area. Valorem
develops products for export and trade.
Transvalorem
maintains a unit with 38,084.65m2 of property in Itararé-SP, with a built area of
1,949.45m2, which has all the required structure to support its segment.
